Bethany & Nicholas 9/22/2012

Ceremony & Reception Site:
       Chanteclaire Farm
    Deep Creek Lake, MD

Each year we wait and wonder form the beginning of the season which couple will have our "dream " wedding of the year. We typically have over 30 weddings that we photograph and all of them are wonderful, but their are usually 1 or 2 that stand out in terms of creativeness and just the pure joy of photographing. Bethany and Nicholas were at the top this year. From the second we started shooting in the morning until the time we finished late in the night I just knew that these pictures were going to be something special.  Bethany and Nick were married in beautiful Western Maryland at the Chanteclaire Farm near Deep Creek Lake. Everything about this place was gorgeous. It had an incredible country lane that in years past was featured with some very famous horses in a beer commercial. The grounds were beautiful and there was no shortage of barns, old buildings, a lake and of course lots of smiling people. These 2 were the nicest, most accommodating people and they let us d our thing... and sometimes out thing can go on for a long time! We just couldn't stop taking pictures. Bethany and Nick were married on the porch overlooking the lake to a slight drizzle of rain, but honestly it didn't bother anyone.  After their nuptials we did some quick family groupings then the creativity began. Bethany and Nick were good sports and they let us move them around to many places. They even agreed to the entire wedding party throwing beer cans at the camera!  The reception was held in the Chanteclaire barn, which is a beautifully renovated historic barn. The food was arranged in a large canoe and after dinner the dancing began, and they danced ALL NIGHT LONG! I got tired just watching people dance. The DJ did an amazing job and keeping people going. I literally don't think the music stopped once over a 3 hour period and neither did the dancing. At the end of the night everyone retired outside for a bonfire and smores. It was a very long day needless to say but we had so much fun and we thank everyone for helping and making the day memorable... Thanks to Bethany and Nick and their families as well!     Enjoy

Amber & Dan 9/15/2012

(Ceremony & Reception Site:) Hollow Creek Golf Club
                                                                        Middletown, MD

The Wedding Day can be quite overwhelming for a lot of people involved. Of course we have all heard horror stories about "Bridezilla" and "Momzilla", and every now and then we get to meet "Groomzilla". There are quite a few things about the wedding day that can lead to stressed out couples and I can honestly say that NONE of that occurred with Amber and Dan. These two were the most laid back couple we have had the pleasure of photographing in a long time! Their Wedding was held at one of our favorite venues, Hollow Creek Golf Club and we couldn't have had a better day. The services here are held on the patio overlooking the golf course and the view is amazing. Everyone was full of smiles as Amber came down the isle and it was picture perfect in every way. We were able to get this couple on a golf cart after the service and drove around the grounds for some terrific shots. The reception is always a time for great candids and of course the dancing pictures are a treat as well. Amber and Dan, you two were awesome and we are very glad that you chose Turner Photography to be a part of your day. To everyone involved and to Hollow Creek for being such a great venue to work at we want to thank you all.... enjoy

Brittany & Joey 9/8/2012

(Ceremony Site:) Maryland Theater  Hagerstown, MD
(Reception Site:) Fairplay Banquet Hall   Fairplay, MD

From the moment Brittany ask us to shoot her wedding I just knew this was going to be one of extreme fun and great pictures! Brittany and Joey were not your typical bride and groom and they definitely did not have a typical wedding.  Their event was held at the historic Maryland Theater in Hagerstown MD and under the bright spotlights is where this couple belonged. They were definitely the stars of the day and they made our jobs incredibly easy with their natural ability to dazzle the camera. Their Punk Rock style and their hip attitude is what made this wedding special. From Chuck Taylor's to Vans, to BMX bikes everything about this wedding was fun fun fun! They were married on the stage under the bright lights and it was a show to be seen.  Brittany's dress was amazing and the whole wedding party looked like Rock n Roll. Brittany came down the isle in the rays of a spotlight and her entrance was one of the best I have ever seen. After the ceremony we spent over an hour being creative with this crew because it was hard to not get a good shot. This truly was a dream wedding for us and even know there was bad weather outside we were able to accomplish a lot in the theater. Their reception was lavishly decorated in pink lights and their wedding party entered through the haze of smoke and strobe lights with each guy riding in on their BMX bikes. DJ Sidekick pumped the tunes and the drinks were flowing as were the good times. The evening was a blast and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. To Brittany and Joey, thanks for making our jobs pleasurable... you are the reason we do this.... enjoy
