Kelly & Shane 7/08/2012

Every Year we shoot a variety of weddings, from big to small and ornate to simple. Each couple spends countless hours creating what they feel will represent them and tell the story of who they are. From flowers to napkins, and music to their outfits, it all narrates who this couple is. This year Kelly and Shane have stood out to me. This wedding was not only a "gem" to photograph, but they were fabulous in every way! The setting was picture perfect and was set at The Hayloft, which is an ultra country style barn in the middle of Somerset County Pa. Nestled in the hills of the Laurel Highlands, The Hayloft was a perfect setting for this country girl meets biker dude. Shane and his guys were all decked out in their white tuxedo's and shared the stage with their gang of Harley Davidson motorcycles. The girls all rode side saddle and the the groom came strolling down the isle to the sounds of ZZ Tops' "Sharp Dressed Man".... it was cool! The service was set on a small island in the middle of the farm's pond, and after the kiss Kelly and Shane rode away on Shane's bike like a scene from a Hollywood movie. I tried my best to capture the feel of the scene, because it was so special. It was something, as a photographer, we dream for but don't always get. The Barn, the rolling hills, tall grass, an attractive couple, and of course, MOTORCYCLES. In every way this wedding deserves an A++ in my book. The Hayloft does such a good job and makes everyone feel important. The food was spectacular and the barn was the perfect backdrop for the party, with dancing and an array of antics from all of the "biker dudes". I very much enjoyed shooting this wedding and put it at the top of our list so far this year. Great Job Kelly and Shane! We appreciate that you guys weren't scared to be "you" and that you chose us to show who "you" were!

Vanessa & Michael 6/23/2012

Vanessa & Michael were married at the Beautiful Thorpewood in Thurmont, MD. This beautiful location is tucked back in the Catoctin mountains. With so many beautiful locations to choose from you are in a photographers heaven there. Trying to stay on a time crunch is so hard to do & we found ourselves struggling with that during their wedding. It's also hard to loose track of time when you have a bride & groom that understand the value of their photographs & would love to take pictures as much as we do. That's how it was with Vanessa & Michael which made this day so perfect because they were such a sweet loving couple who just wanted to capture as many moments as we had time for! It was a beautiful wedding & we got some great images! (Ceremony & Reception Site)= Thorpewood in Thurmont, MD

Kelsey & Erick 6/16/2012

There something about about a bride, a groom and motorcycles that the camera just loves! Kelsey and Erick were married at a beautiful chapel in Mercercsburg PA and had no shortage of photographic moments. The guys, all sport bike riders, lined up their Hondas and Yamahas, and in an array of colors the bikes were great props for this young group! Kelsey had a beautiful dress full of ruffles and style. She was stunning and was a joy to shoot. The elaborate chapel at Mercersburg Academy is always beautiful and the surrounding grounds are the perfect setting for a picturesque wedding. Their reception was held at the Courtland Mansion in Hagerstown Md where we work quite a bit. Courtland is a spacious open room with beautiful light pouring in from all sides. There were games for the kids and dancing for the adults and of course many nice moments between the bride and groom and the people that love them. Kelsey and Eric were A pleasure to work with.... Lauren & Ali 6/9/12

There are many cultures with many different wedding customs. When we get the opportunity to photograph a wedding from a different culture it is always a pleasure. As photogenic as the traditional American ceremony can be, a cultural wedding ceremony to those that don't get to witness them that often are quite fun and refreshing. Ali and Lauren's wedding was one of them. They had a very short American service followed by a traditional Persian service. The Persian service was something that I had never seen and was very cool. With its ornate decorations and family evolvement the 45 min service was full of entertaining elements. The bride and groom sat for the majority of the service while their relatives and parents showered them with love and gifts. The Persian women hung various necklaces around Lauren's neck while Ali was given a very nice watch. This wedding was set in a conference room at the Clarion hotel in Shepherdstown WV. Typically these rooms are very tough to photograph in but with the flexibility they gave me on where I could go I was able to overcome the challenges and get some touching photographs. Ali and Lauren have been friends of ours for a while and it was a pleasure photographing them on this special day! (Ceremony & Reception Site): Clarion Inn Shepherdstown, WV
